RE Education Program for 2023

Registration opens July 11th

Available classes:

• For grades 2 through 6: Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (CGS) based program on Sundays from 1:00 to 3:30 pm
• For grades 7 through 12 (if there is sufficient interest/need): Confirmation class on Sundays from 1:00 to 3:00 pm
  
  

There will be two mandatory parent meetings before classes for the children begin. This is a basic orientation to the program that I require all parents to attend each year. They will be held:

• Saturday, September 30th (date change)

English: 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Spanish: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

• Saturday, September 23

English: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Spanish: 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM.

This is the safe environment training required by the Archdiocese of Denver for all the employees and volunteers who work with children. You are required to take this class once every five years, so it’s mostly applicable to the parents of first year students. Since I require parents to volunteer some time in the classroom throughout the year, all parents need be current with this training.

Classes for the children begin on Sunday, October 1. The complete schedule of classes is at the end.

• Walk in registration dates: You may walk in to register your children for RE classes on Tuesdays from 1:00 to 3:00 PM beginning July 11 all the way to August 29 with this caveat: since Cheri sometimes goes on vacation, it is advisable to call her ahead of time at 970.834.1609 to check if she will be there on the Tuesday that you wish to come in. Please call on a Tuesday from 1 to 3 so that she is there to answer the phone.
• If those times do not work for you and/or you’re unable to download the registration form, please email RE@stmarysault.com or text 719.394.7770 to make an appointment.
• Online registration: We are no longer able to offer this service.  Please fill out the registration form and turn them into the office with your payment. Thank you.

If this is your child’s first year with us, please come prepared with certificates for all initiation sacraments your child has previously received. The baptism certificate is the most important. Everyone, please also come prepared to pay the registration fee when you come in to register.

Registration fee: $75 per student if registered before August 31st $100 per student if registered after August 31st Schedule:

Please note these days on your calendar once you register your child. I send text messages out if anything changes (such as cancellations due to inclement weather) but I do not send out reminders of what is on the schedule
